How do I make a reservation?
You can reserve a property online by choosing the property that you like and clicking on "Book Now" or by calling us at 808.742.9808 or toll free at 866.541.1033.
What kind of deposit is required to reserve a property?
A minimum deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve a property. (this may be larger depending on the property you are reserving or the length of the reservation) The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. We accept eChecks, all major credit cards, personal or company checks and cashier's checks.
What is the cancellation policy?
A full refund, minus a service fee of $50 or 3% (whichever is greater), will be given for cancelation made in writing 60 days before the check-in date. For reservations canceled within 60 days of check-in, no refunds will be given unless property can be re-rented. Whatever portion of the reservation that can be re-rented will be returned minus a 10% re-booking fee.
Where do I check in?
Most properties have a lockbox by the front door or a keyless entry lock. After final payment you will be given the code and you will be able to go directly to the property to check in.
Do you offer concierge services?
We would love to help you set up a complete itinerary for your trip or just a portion of it. Please inquire if you would like assistance with dinner reservations, car rentals, spa treatments, activities or visit the island activities section of our website to learn more.
What is the minimum night stay?
This varies from property to property but is usually 5 - 7 nights. Please inquire with our staff regarding a shorter stay.
What amenities are included in the rental fee?
A full list of property amenities is included on the property detail section of the website. All properties offer linens, towels, beach towels, hairdryer, wireless internet, and cable television. Great Vacation Retreats also provides a starter set of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, dishwashing soap and detergent, laundry detergent and kitchen sponge. You will receive a starter kit of Kauai Coffee Company coffee and condiment packs. Also provided are complimentary Island Soap and Candle Works toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. After the starter set is diminished it is up to the guest to replace any items that they might need for the duration of their visit. If you need something special please do not hesitate to ask!
Do I need to clean the property when I depart?
We request that before you leave, you start the dishwasher, throw out any opened food items and take out the trash. A cleaning fee has been added to your reservation amount and will be used to deep clean the property after your departure. Excessive cleaning and trash will result in extra charges to your credit card.
Is it possible to have a late check out?
The check out time is 10:00 a.m. If we have no scheduled check ins on the day you leave you can have a noon check out for free or later for $100.00. Or you can guarantee your late check out by reserving the property for the day ahead of time. This cost is one half of one night rental fee. Please call our office at 808-742-9202 to see if a late check out is available. For those guests staying in Poipu, the Poipu Beach Athletic Club offers baggage storage and is a great place to relax for the day before a late flight. Your week's membership of $100 per condo or home (up to 8 people) includes the late check out. You can purchase your club membership on line HERE.
May I smoke in the property?
NO. There is a strict no smoking policy at all properties, including lanais. Hawaii has adopted a new law that allows for no smoking within 20 feet of doors and windows. Please go to the marked designated smoking areas outside the building if you wish to smoke.
Do you allow pets?
All of our properties have a no pet policy. If you have a seeing eye dog or other service animal, please let our staff know.
